A good place to start….

 

 

South Arts – South Arts (formerly the Southern Arts Federation) is a nonprofit regional arts organization that has been making a positive difference in the arts throughout the South since 1975. South Arts creates partnerships and collaborations; assists in the professional development of artists, arts organizations and arts professionals; presents, promotes and produces southern arts and cultural programming; and advocates for the arts and arts education. The organization works in partnership with the nine state arts agencies of montage of images, Juggernut Jug band, Momentum Dance, New Stage Theater, Stain Glass Sam Corso and painting by Luz-Marie LopezAlabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. South Arts is funded by the National Endowment for the Arts, foundations, corporations, individuals and member states.

Lexington –

Lexington Art League – he Lexington Art League (LAL) is central Kentucky’s oldest and largest visual art organization. LAL presents original, creative and accessible programs, with a reputation for thought-provoking content, that illuminate the role of visual art in contemporary life.  Check out artist opportunities.  They have a great gallery space and are always posting new calls.

Lexington Arts and Culture Council – Another great organization.  Frequently look in the calls to artists and employment opportunity links.

Louisville –

Louisville Visual Arts Association – LVAA engages artists and audiences through an energetic agenda of education, community outreach, artist support and exhibitions. While there are some great resources, to access most of the information you must email the organization.

Florida –

Sarasota County Arts CouncilThe SCAC is a member powered arts and cultural alliance passionate about building appreciation, participation and support for arts and culture.  They have a great list of calls for artists as well as grant information.  Check out the visual arts tab.
