Exhibitions
Showing your work is imperative in keeping a professional art record. Make sure you research the space before you submit. While your images, statement, and resume may be exquisite, if you send them to the wrong venue you might as well be throwing them out. In your research, visit the spaces, contact participating artists for their opinions, and try to make your name known by people working there.
There are some things to consider about exhibiting:
What’s the best context for you work?
How much control do you want over the way your work is displayed?
Do you want to sell work?
How much space do you need?
Do you need financial support?
Who is your current audience?
Who is your ideal audience?
